Dr. Carmen McCaffrey offers the latest in preventive, general, and cosmetic dentistry in a comfortable supporting environment. For our patients comfort, we strive to have a calming office environment. We achieve this by using aromatherapy, music and soothing water sounds. In the front reception area, we offer a coffee bar and internet access. During treatment, you can relax and listen to Direct TV, or satellite radio via personal headphones. Pillow and blankets are always available if you need them.
We should all be aware of our surroundings and the way that we live, work and play can affect our earth. Our office is conscious and facilitates technology that supports a healthy work atmosphere for us and our patients. We take digital x-ray which has two advantageous qualities. One, it is 80% less radiation vs conventional x-rays. The second advantage is that there are no chemicals, so it is safer for our environment, and our office smells better!
We utilize paperless charting. So your paper trail is very small to nothing at all. It is a fast and efficient way to communicate to specialist and insurance companies.
We are a mercury free office. The restorations we place are tooth colored fillings or porcelain. Again, no chemicals that need to be disposed of. Behind the scenes, we have an oil-less air compressor that keeps us running. Oil-less heads eliminate the need for lubrication eliminating pollution and waste of oil cans. It also uses less horsepower that others making it more energy efficient.

Dr. McCaffrey discovered her passion for science at an early age and in 1992, while studying for her graduate degree, she decided dentistry was the career path for her. After earning her DMD, she completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency which focused on complex restorative cases along with implantology. In the mid 1990’s she attended an American Students Dental Association (ASDA) meeting in Atlanta and immediately knew this was the city for her. The day after completing her residency, she moved to Atlanta. While attending dental school she was elected President of ASDA, President of her fraternity, Senior Class President, and also earned the Pre-Doctoral Achievement Award from the International Congress of Implantologist. She stays on the leading edge of dentistry to provide her patients with the best care. She challenges herself to be the very best by attending continuing education courses above and the beyond the recommended requirements and by attending local study clubs.
Dr. McCaffrey and her husband Bryan, have three children, Gabrielle, Ansley and Morgan. When she isn’t perfecting smiles, you can find her with her family or volunteering at her children’s schools. Dr. McCaffrey looks forward to meeting you and working towards the common goal of creating and maintaining healthy teeth for a lifetime.

Patsy joined Dr. McCaffrey’s team in 1999. From a young age she wanted to help people and dentistry was the perfect choice for her. She continues to learn about the latest dental techniques and participates in continuing education courses several times a year. Patsy’s most recent challenge was a course specializing in single visit restorations. Other accomplishments include Splint Fabrication Certification, Expanded Duty Assisting Certification, and CEREC Proficiency Anterior and Posterior Mastery. During her spare time, you can find her reading science fiction and spending time with her daughter and husband. Patsy ensures a relaxing visit and looks forward to assisting you on all of your dental needs.

Laila joined Dr. McCaffrey’s team in 1999 and has been providing exceptional dental care to her patients for many years. When she isn’t with patients in the office, she is volunteering for Dentistry With a Heart, providing dental care to indigent families. She also dedicates time each week to spend at her children’s schools. She was born in Kenya and moved to Vancouver,BC when she was 16 years old. She and her husband reside in Atlanta with their 2 children. When Laila isn’t focusing on her patients, or volunteering, she relaxes with a good book. Laila will always educate her patients on making the best dental decisions for their health.

Misty joined Dr. McCaffrey’s team in 2007. She always had an interest in healthcare and decided to enter a field where she impacts peoples health and gives them a reason to smile. Her favorite aspect of dentistry is educating her patients in a one on one setting regarding their overall dental health, along with options for cosmetic enhancements. When she is out of the office, she is taking care of the light of her life, her son. She also enjoys the occasional golf game with her husband and son. Misty will always give you the one on one attention you deserve at each visit.
